Spotsylvania put on an amazing show of fireworks at the courthouse yesterday. They were amazing! I had so much fun capturing them, and before I knew it the show was over. I could have stayed all night!

Our church created an awesome opportunity to give back to our community this past weekend. We had volunteers all over the county handing out bottled water, picking up trash, returning shopping carts, mowing lawns… It was amazing. I had such a great time being with my small group and just having the opportunity to give back to our community.
The most amazing part of it all happened once I was leaving though. I had to leave early to shoot a wedding, and on my way home I passed so many other groups from the church volunteering their time … giving back. I mean they were everywhere. We had bright green t- shirts on, I think if we had a helicopter and were able to get an aerial view from Saturday – it would have been just one amazing green spot! It was just so touching to me to see so many people giving their time to the benefit of others. Just to see one person smile, or inquire about why we were doing such things… If one person’s heart was changed, one person came to know Christ through this – it was so worth it. The great thing is – with all the generous people that gave there time… I think it’s safe to say more than one person was touched!

Our awesome band was up at Camilles last week doing what they do OH so well! It was a great time of worship & fellowship with friends & family! I wish we did this more often!

One of my good friends, a fellow photographer, gave birth to this handsome baby last week! I am absolutly in love with his hair! The first thing I wanted to do was put it in a mohawk! But great minds think alike, because she had already done so! I must say that all these itty bitty babies everywhere have given me some serious baby fever. Crazy I know, I have 3 little ones already – but I dont think many can resist the amazing feeling of holding a brand new baby. It just does something to you!

One of my best friends is having a baby! She has always been so sweet to my kids, and I am so excited for her to have a little bundle of her own! Her baby shower was so much fun, wish we could do another!

My 50mm 1.4 came this morning and I took it out for a test run! Feels like Christmas when I get new things! Now all I need is that 100mm macro…..

I had an amazing opportunity to capture Dustin proposing to Ashley. It was one of the coolest things I have ever done and I am so blessed to have played a part in that day!
Soon after they contacted me about doing an engagement session. These two were so much fun! So very much in love, and just absolutly adorable. I had a great time with them!

It is not often that I can get all 3 of my kiddos to sit still for one photo. I told the girls that if they sat and took a few pictures for me they could ride in the barbie jeep afterwards. It kind of worked. Getting all 3 of them to look the right way and smile … would have been impossible. I think at some point when you have a few kiddos you realize its just impossible to get them all to sit there perfectly. So in the end I was happier because I finally learned to accept the reality.
